What we do

We are committed to ensuring that fact-based, sound, accurate and peer-reviewed science, rather than corporate propaganda, is used when considering the impacts of the proposed expansion of Glacier Northwest/CalPortland's aggregate (gravel) mine, the dewatering the Vashon Aquifer and their barging facility on our clean air, DuPont's sole source aquifer, our threatened and endangered species and our Puget Sound nearshore.

We oppose the re-writing of the 1994 Settlement Agreement (94SA).

We are prepared, with local, neighboring partners, to draft then carryout the Nisqually-Sequalitchew Restoration Plan.

Cal Portland will need a water right to extract and discharge the Vashon Aquifer since they hope to use it for "beneficial use" by dewatering, then discharging it into our Edmond Marsh, a Class I Wetland.
